Hello SJDR families!
If you’re interested in signing up your child for one of the seven 2017-2018 Fall Sports teams that start the first week of school, please continue reading. If your child is interested in soccer, volleyball, or softball, those seasons are later in the school year. You can find information regarding those sports on the last page of the following document: click here.
Six of the Fall sports teams are open to students in 5th-8th grades. The Spirit Squad is open to students in K-4th grade.
All tryout/first practice information will be finalized and posted on the SJDR website in the next 7-10 days. For specific sport information, you’ll have to click on each sports’ individual tab underneath the Athletics pull down menu.
Before your child can tryout/attend practice, you need to register him/her for tryouts, complete the required paperwork, and make sure the paperwork is approved. I created a document (2017-2018 Sports Info and Tryout Registration Info) that explains how to register for a sport, inform you of the required paperwork, verify your child is approved to tryout, and some general information regarding the sports teams at SJDR. The blue font on page 2, is new information for the 2017-2018 school year. You may access that document by clicking on this link. You may find the document in the future under the Athletics tab on the SJDR website and then select the page: Athletic Forms and Registration Info.
If this is your first time registering for SJDR athletics, I created a video last year that explains the process and highlights some of frequent mistakes that happen when someone completes the required forms. You may want to watch the 8-minute video because it could save you more time in the long run if your paperwork isn’t completed the correct way. **This video was created last year, so the dates and other information will not correlate to this year.** You may access that video by clicking on this link.
