Note from Athletic Director

Peter Wolf is the Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director at San Juan del Rio Catholic School.

One of our many goals at San Juan del Rio is to create and shape student-athletes into well rounded individuals. Student-athletes are expected to compete at a high level demonstrating the values of teamwork, commitment, hard work and sportsmanship. We want our student-athletes to represent the school, parish, and community of San Juan del Rio proudly.

Sports are made available to all students 5th grade and up including cheer, cross country, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and softball. Our sports program experienced success throughout the years at the Division I level, and due to the growth of our student body, we now participate in Division II athletics in all sports.

It is our new challenge to learn, grow, and develop athletes in their respective sports to compete and play the game the right way. Additionally, our coaches and staff work very hard and are dedicated to the student-athletes here at San Juan del Rio focusing on fundamentals and competition. It is an exciting time in athletics at San Juan del Rio, so come out and support the different teams!

“Playing sports has become very important today, since it can encourage young people to develop important values such as loyalty, perseverance, friendship, sharing and solidarity. Sports contribute to the love of life, teaches sacrifice, respect and responsibility, leading to the full development of every human person.”
